Preparation And Usage
Try These Recipes Chocolate Mallow Fudge 125g Butter 1 can Condensed milk 2 tbsp Golden syrup 250g Caster sugar 200g Shortcake or rich tea biscuits, made into crumbs 75-100g Mini Marshmallows 200g White chocolate, melted Heat the butter, condensed milk, syrup and sugar in a heavy based saucepan. Stirring constantly, bring to the boil. Boil steadily for 7-8 minutes until thickened. Remove from the heat and stir in the biscuit crumbs. Pour the mixture into a greased shallow baking tray. Press on the marshmallows, spacing them apart evenly whilst the fudge is still warm. Melt the chocolate and pour over the marshmallow and fudge mixture. Refrigerate until set, then cut into squares. Marshmallow Nut Crunch 125g Deluxe dark chocolate, broken into pieces 25g Butter 25g Unsalted peanuts or Brazil nuts 25g Raisins or currants 50g Mini Marshmallows 75g White chocolate, melted 25g Toasted flaked almonds Melt together the dark chocolate and butter. Fold in the peanuts, raisins and marshmallows until lightly coated. Transfer to a small square tin and chill until firm. Drizzle over the melted white chocolate and scatter on the almonds. Return to the fridge to chill, then cut into bite size pieces. Rocky Road Bites 125g Butter 150g Chopped milk or dark chocolate 75g Golden syrup 225g Broken rich tea or digestive biscuits 100g Sultanas 100g Mini Marshmallows Melt the butter, golden syrup and chocolate together. Remove from the heat and add the biscuits and sultanas and mix well. Add the marshmallows and mix together until everything is coated in the chocolate mixture. Transfer into a tin and spread evenly. Place in the fridge to set for 2 hours then cut into pieces and serve. Makes 12 squares. Great Ideas! For a quick cake topping, scatter Mini Marshmallows over a hot baked cake as soon as it comes out of the oven - the Mini Marshmallows will melt to make a fun topping. For special biscuit treats, top rich tea biscuits with squares of milk chocolate and 2-3 Mini Marshmallows. Place in a hot oven until melted Sandwich with another biscuit, leave to set and enjoy! For delicious barbecued bananas, unzip the banana skin along its length with a sharp knife and open to form a pocket. Cut the banana into thick slices, leaving in the skin and then stuff in plenty of Mini Marshmallows and chocolate buttons. Wrap in foil and barbecue for 10-15 minutes. Fantastic! Drop onto steaming hot chocolate or cappuccino for a frothy marshmallow topping! Thread onto skewers and toast over a barbecue or under the grill until puffed and golden. Perfect as a decoration on children's birthday cakes and iced biscuits. Chop and fold into slightly softened ice cream, swirl in some raspberry or chocolate sauce, then return to the freezer before serving. Fold into your favourite refrigerator cookie or rice crispie cake before leaving to set.
